The bullet points below illustrate a timeline of how temporary authorization holds and charges will occur when using AdBuilder:
- Date of initial purchase - A temporary authorization hold will be placed on the credit card used to confirm the credit card provided is valid and that the funds are available. This hold will be automatically reversed pending confirmation at check out.
- At the beginning of each week of your ad - A temporary authorization hold equal to your selected weekly budget (the weekly budget you selected when building your ad) will appear. Example: $200 per week is placed on your credit card.
- At the end of each week of your ad - Final charges for each week of your ad campaign are processed and charged to your credit card. This weekly billing process continues until your ad campaign is complete and all final charges have been processed.
Temporary authorization holds - All credit card temporary authorization holds are reversed and released back to your card. If you have questions about the release of a temporary authorization hold, please contact your credit card's issuing bank. If you used a debit card rather than a credit card to complete your purchase, temporary authorization holds and their availability can vary and we suggest contacting your issuing bank for more information.
